I am filing this complaint regarding ongoing and unresolved vehicle repairs performed by them related to a persistent check engine light issue. Despite four separate visits over a six-month period, the problem remains unresolved and I have incurred over $1,300 in charges. I am also concerned about the markup on parts and refusal to accept a return, particularly for the ignition coil. Service History: Visit 1 – October 24, 2024 Complaint: Check engine light on. Recommendation: Replace all 4 spark plugs. Charges: Labor $240.50, Parts $142.68 Outcome: Light turned off temporarily, but returned within weeks. Visit 2 – December 14, 2024 Complaint: Check engine light returned. Recommendation: Replace MAF (Mass Air Flow) sensor. Charges: Labor $215.00, Parts $252.29 Outcome: Light turned off again but returned later. Visit 3 – March 10, 2025 Complaint: Engine noise and check engine light. Recommendation: Replace serpentine belt. Charges: Labor $144.30, Parts $51.28 Outcome: Temporary improvement, but the check engine light reappeared. Visit 4 – April 11, 2025 Complaint: Check engine light on again. Recommendation: Replace ignition coil. Charges: Labor $92.50, Parts $165.91. Brad was originally trying to charge me one hour of labor valued at $165, but I found out it only takes them 10 minutes to put the ignition coin on. When I raised my concern, credit to him did gave me some discount. Concern: I later researched and found the coil’s market value is approx. $50. The shop refused to accept a return when I raised the price concern. My Concerns: 1. Repeated visits for the same issue (check engine light) without a lasting fix. Each visit resulted in a different recommendation and charge, which raises concerns about diagnostic accuracy. 2. Potential overcharging for parts, particularly the ignition coil. 3. Refusal to accept a return of an overpriced part, despite my continued patronage and unresolved issue. 4. Lack of transparency and resolution after four paid service visits. Also one time, I was trying to use a service coupon which sent to me by email; however, I remembered clearly that Brad mentioned to me it is only for attracting new clients and plus I can always increase the quote on my end to offset the discount coupons, so it is pointless to use it anyway.
