I WISH I NEVER BROUGHT MY CAR HERE. I TRUTHFULLY REGRET COMING HERE. AVOID AT ALL COST AND GO ANYWHERE ELSE. GO HERE IF YOU WANT TO GET YOUR MONEY BACK THROUGH SMALL CLAIMS COURT. Here is my HONEST short summary: I'll tell you this, I usually do not leave yelp reviews (as you can see but this just needed to be said) I will never be going back here. They LIVE by their yelp and google reviews (after you get your car worked on, they continuously annoy you with emails and texts messages asking them to leave them a review) I told Brad, the owner, that they failed to fix my car AFTER 3-4 TIMES, and he had the audacity to say "I have the ability to give you your refund, but I will not because I want your business so I will give you store credit." WHY WOULD ANY LOGICAL PERSON WANT STORE CREDIT? Would you come back to an auto shop that couldn't fix your car after giving them the opportunity to fix your car 3-4 times? Here is my HONEST review: I needed brake pads and brake rotors changed on my car, so I did what everyone nowadays does and went on yelp. I found them on yelp since their reviews are "so good" but should have thoroughly read through the truthful and real reviews. Took my car in to get my brake pads and rotors fixed in which they charged $1,100.00. After getting my car back, I heard brake squeaks (as you see with other bad reviews, they have this common problem with customers). I take it back another day and they replaced my pads and rotors. I get my car back and I hear the brake squeak again. So I bring it in a THIRD TIME, and told them I still have this problem. I told them to test drive the car so that I don't have to come back a 4th or 5th or 6th time for the SAME PROBLEM. They inform me my car is ready and told me they did not hear any noise. I get there and they tell me that they incorrectly put my brake pads in the wrong direction. (mind you, I called another auto shop place after this and told them what had happened and they told me they knew my brake pads had to be put in a particular way and any auto mechanic with this knowledge should have known, these "mechanics" did not know this until the 3rd time I brought in my car). I told them it's alright and asked if they test drove it. They said they did so I trusted their honesty. I drive back home and I hear the brakes squeak again. At this point, I've given up coming here, so I take my car to get my brakes fixed at my car dealership. After 30 minutes of inspection, The dealership informs me that whoever exchange my brake pads forgot to put my ORIGINAL brake shims back on the car, So I had to pay another $229.30 to buy a part that was SUPPOSE to be on my car originally. The dealership found the problem out in 30 minutes.. I go back to Honest 1-auto care and tell them that at the very least you should pay for $229.30 because I shouldn't have to pay for a part that was ON MY CAR originally. Brad informs me that the mechanics might have thrown it away or misplaced it. I asked him if he was going to refund me at the VERY LEAST the $229.30 which does not include the 3-4 times I had to take time off of work to drop off my car, also does not include the time spent at the car dealership, also, does not include the stress incurred throughout this process. Brad respond with "well, I could refund you the $229.30 but I won't because I want your business so I will give you store credit." I wanted to ask anyone here if you're reading my review and got this far. Would you go back to an auto store that could not fix your problem 3-4 times then having to result to going to the car dealership and pay extra there? I sure hope not. So I simply told Brad, I don't want your store credit and left. My brake pads and rotors are under their warranty. Even IF my brake pads and rotors went bad, I will not be coming here for their warranty. Period. Worst part of all this I asked the car dealership what they would charge for the SAME job. They said about $800-900. I Paid close to $1,100.00 here. Comment from Brad M. of Honest-1 Auto Care Business Owner 10/1/2019We are sorry for your experience. We purchased all Lexus parts and deferred to Lexus when the brakes were still making noise. The factory never sent us shims or indicated that they needed shims. Admittedly there were issues and we tried to rectify them and will still warranty any work. Read more
